I am not very creative on the titles of my post I know. But that is a lacking department here, sorry. Anyways the last 4 days has been beautiful her. Yesterday it was 60 degrees here. I have hurried home every night, changed clothes and been on the back of a horse till sundown. It has been wonderful. Today well it is 30 degrees here right now. I hung outside long enough to get everyone fed and watered and ran for the house. I look like an Eskimo when it is this cold. Seriously all you can see is a small bit of my face, only cause it is helpful to see when you feed otherwise they would be covered too. I did manage to get a few pictures taken this week. Not alot and there are none of me. YAHHHH! I hate to have my picture taken.
These are just updated pictures of little cowgirls black eye this is day 3. It never looked as bad as I really expected it to. Thank goodness. 
Then we have my handsome cowboy who apparently didn't like it when I called him my stable boy. But, at the time it kinda fit. I told him I needed for him to go saddle my horse so I could change and he did it. 
Last for today is my oldest leading our 2 year old stud "Jack" around. Jack is just starting his whole training process. Here he has only been saddled twice and is doing awesome with it. 
Hope everyone has a good weekend. Maybe with it being cold I might get some housework done. Don't hold your breath on it though.
On Sunday we head to the rodeo about 30 minutes from home. Plan on being there all day as it is a youth rodeo and they take all day. Everyone that knows my youngest cowgirl knows that she is a clutz. There are days that I watch her fall down 3 or 4 times while walking. She should have been named Grace.
So, of coarse we get there and my kids and my niece take off to go play. Oldest comes back a little while later and she is dragging the youngest with her. She says that the youngest has ripped her pants. 
She somehow caught them on a nail. Doesn't surprise me. Which at this point in her life not a lot surprises me.
So we watch the majority of the rodeo and then here comes the oldest again. Except this time the youngest is following nicely and crying. Again not a surprise. By the time she reaches me the oldest tells me that she has ran into a pipe fencing that was sticking out. It was already black and blue. She is lucky she didn't break her nose.
We ice it and tell her it will be okay. By the time we get home it has started to swell and I image waking up in the morning to find half of her face black and blue and swollen. I think she lucked out cause it was a little swollen and a little more black but, not as bad I as I expected.
A day in her life is never dull on the plus side I won a silent auction at the rodeo. I got cowgirl 5 new long sleeve button downs for cheap. When I showed her I got them for her that made things all better. See she is my girl shopping makes everything better.
The school sends a note home with the oldest kids that the high school girls are holding a cheer clinic fundraiser. They would practiceon Thursday night and cheer on Friday night at the boys varsity game and they go a cute t-shirt that said "Junior Runners." Ofcourse my oldest wants to do it and she soon relizes that the youngest cowgirl is old enough to do it too. So, I was nice and signed them up.
We get there on Thursday night and my youngest cowgirl ( who is not the least bit shy) doesn't want to get on stage and learn. She keeps saying "there are too many people, tell them to go home." One of the cheerleaders finally talk her into getting up there. Well lets just say there is no way that she learned any thing. She sucked her thumb part of the time and the other part she layed on the floor on her tummy ad watched everyone else. So I just chalked it up to she won't do it tom night and I just bought her an expensive t-shirt. Oldest on the other hand did awesome and learned the 2 cheers and the dance.
So Friday night at the game, the youngest was out toprove me wrong. She went out ther and pretended to preform. She didn't know all of the dance or the cheers but, she smiled and waved, and yelled hi to her daddy. lol

Here is little cowboy sporting new halter, leadline, hat, buckle, and his shirt. His goal was to use all the new stuff before the end of the day. He almost accomplished it. 
Little cowboy had to ride to be able to use the saddle pad so, we saddled up his horse. He rode for a while then was gracious enough to let his little sister ride. He hesitate letting her ride because he is going to retire his rodeo horse to her for next year. He really need something faster. So, he is trying to talk grandma out of one of her horse ( one that I use to run barrels on). He says he is not ready to ride my mare yet, he has seen her buck and is worried he is going to get bucked off. So you have to excuse her attire we haven't found her any hand-me down boots yet. Nana bought her these mud boots and they are her new favorite shoes. (They are even on the wrong feet.)
Sorry Dad I stole your picture. If anyone has any little girls boots in size 9 we are taking donations.
The awards banquet for the rodeo circuit the two oldest cowpoke participated in was tonight. Instead of receiving monetary awards after each rodeo the kids get tack and such at the end of the season. As long as they participate in 3 rodeos and the finals they get the loot of goodies. In my opinion this is way better for the kids that are just starting out.
All my little cowboy wanted out of the whole banquet was a dinner plate belt buckle( you know the ones you could turn over and are as big as a dinner plate.)Well guess what one of his awards was for. 
The the oldest cowgirl didn't care at all what she got. She was just excited to get anything. Well guess what she got a buckle too. 
They also got a jacket, t-shirt, hat, feed bucket, bucket strap, brushes, comb, dewormer, saddle blanket, bronc halter, and some other odds and ends. Wow, they sure did get a lot of loot for just having fun every Friday night all summer long.
